Five on Friday

It has been SO LONG since I have done a Five on Friday, but it's back. At least for this week, anyway!

1. Our oldest niece graduated from high school on Friday so we went to Florida for the big event. It was a quick trip, but it's always nice to see everyone. We are so proud of her! We made a pit stop on the way home and H wanted his picture taken with this Alligator.

2. One of my best friends moved to the beach a few months ago, so it was time to take the boys and go see her. We had a lot of fun! I didn't take many pictures at all, but I did have her snap this one of Henry getting a nice ride while we shopped.

3. You may have caught my "When I Grow Up" post from earlier this week, but it not, you can read it here.

4.  You will see this again when I post my June favorites, but I couldn't wait to share it with you. One of my friends gave the Big Sexy Hair Soy Renewal Beach Spray in a bag full of other goodies for my birthday last week. I washed my hair before I went to bed and then sprayed the stuff on there and let it air dry. I woke up the next morning with my hair looking like this! Yes, please. This is perfect for Summer hair.

5. I have posted several new YouTube videos this week and listed them below. Please check them out and subscribe! I also have some in the works for next week that are not beauty related, so be on the look out for those.

Show & Tell Tuesday: When I Grow Up

Every other Tuesday, Andrea, hosts Show and Tell Tuesday. This week's theme is "When I Grow Up".

I always wanted to be a wife and stay-at-home mommy. I also went through a stage of wanting to be a teacher. I don't think I ever really considered being anything else.

I am so thankful for the desires that God placed in my heart as a young girl. There were times that I wasn't sure if I would really get to stay home with my kids, but God is always so faithful. I am so blessed to have such a wonderful husband and two really fun little boys. I never planned to homeschool my children, but I really do enjoy being their teacher. I can't imagine doing anything else.

May Ipsy Glam Bag

I wanted to share my May Ipsy Glam Bag with you. This is my first glam bag and I was really excited to receive it. Ipsy is a $10 monthly subscription. You fill out a questionnaire and they send you 4-5 deluxe size samples in a makeup bag to try each month. I enjoy trying new beauty products, so I thought this would be a good fit for me.

If you would like to see my video review of this bag, you can check it out HERE.

Items I Received

- The Bag itself was just okay for me. I mostly didn't like the shape of the bag.

- Urban Decay - 24/7 Glide on Lip Pencil + BONUS Revolution High-Color Lipgloss
I really like the pencil. I have used it with other lipglosses and it does a great job keeping them in place. The High-Color Lipgloss lives up to it's name. You get a ton of color payoff and it stays put!

- Balanced Guru - Style Me Hair Oil
I liked this pretty good. It smells nice and I like it on the ends of my hair when I wear my hair curly.

- NUXE - RĂªve de Miel® Facial Cleansing and Make-Up Removing Gel
This was just okay. I didn't like the smell and it was kind of sticky.

- Chella - Eyebrow Color Pencil
This was another favorite in the bag. I received the color Tantelizing Taupe and it was the perfect match for my brows. It is a pretty dry formula that blends well and stays put.

- Jesse's Girl - Pure Pigment Eye Dust
This was my favorite in the bag. I wasn't expecting to like it at all because it is a loose shadow, but I gave it a try and I'm glad that I did. It is the perfect warm brown to wear in your crease. It also blends really well.

I am calling the May bag a winner!

*If you are interested in subscribing to Ipsy, you can use my referral link on my side bar. I will receive points to use towards extra purchases on their site. It will not cost you anything extra.

*No meal plan this week. My husband will be working late every night, so it's an eat what you can find kind of week. Mama's not cooking.

Influenster Bella VoxBox Review

*This is not a sponsored post. I received all products complimentary from Influenster for the purpose of testing and reviewing. All opinions are my own.

I first heard of Influenster way back when it first started. I signed up for the account and then never really did anything with it. I pretty much forgot about it.

I was scrolling through IG a few months ago and came across someone's VoxBox that contained a few makeup items. I have been very into makeup and skincare the last several months, so I was very intrigued. I downloaded the app and started filling out all of the surveys that help them get to know me better. I did a few product reviews and then answered some questions. It didn't take long for me to get matched to a box. I don't know that everyone gets matched and receives a box. I think it depends on your surveys and how active you are. I like trying and reviewing new products, so this has been right up my ally.

The Bella VoxBox

Y'all I was so excited to get this in the mail when it came! I did a full video review on my YouTube Channel and included a lot of details, so be sure to check that out HERE. I am just going to give you a quick overview here on the blog.

ecoTOOLS Complexion Collection Mattifying Finish Complexion Brush and a $1 off Coupon for Future Purchase - This is my first brush from ecoTOOLS. I have really enjoyed it. It is much softer than my Bare Minerals Complexion Brush. I will probably pick up a few more from this brand.

Rimmel London Lasting Finish Lipstick by Kate - This was my favorite thing in the box! I have been wearing this lipstick pretty regularly since I got it. I received the shade 08. It doesn't have a name, but it is a nice wearable neutral mauve-y color. I like the way it feels on my lips and it lasts pretty well without drying my lips out.

Not Your Mother's Deja Vu Do Style Extender - This was a fun product to try. I have purchased other items from this line before and always been pleased. I really liked the way this smells. I will probably pick another one up the next time I see it on sale for the smell. I can't say that it really extended my style any longer than normal under normal conditions, but it did prevent "hat head" after a long day of fishing wearing a baseball cap. I call that a win!

Sally Hansen Airbrush Legs - I can't really say a whole lot about this product. They were out of the color that I needed and the medium was WAY too dark for this very pale white chick. I gave a  nice demo in my video in case you want to check that out.

Rimmel London Scandal Eyes Mascara created by Kate Moss - I really wanted to like this mascara, but I just don't. I liked it the first few days, but it just kept getting worse for me. I think the biggest thing is the massive brush on the applicator. It it very large and shaped very differently from any other mascara wand I have ever used. I just could't get the hang of using it and kept getting mascara all over my eyelids.

Dove Fruit - I received the chocolate covered blueberries and they were delicious! They are a nice little treat. You definitely taste more chocolate than you do blueberry, but they are still very good if you like Dove Chocolate.

Have you tried any of these products? How did you like them?

Show and Tell Tuesday - Favorite Party

Every other Tuesday, Andrea, from Momfessionals hosts Show and Tell Tuesday. Today is all about your favorite party that you have hosted.

Cade's 5th Birthday Party is by far my favorite party that we have hosted. This was a little over 4 years ago (sniff), but it was a lot of fun. Cade basically planned his own surprise party and I had to figure out how to pull it off and it still be a surprise. It was success!

In case you can't tell, this was his batman phase. I was just thrilled that it wasn't Thomas the Train like his 2nd, 3rd, and 4th birthdays.

SURPRISE!
Passing out NOISE makers
Time for a cupcake.

This picture of Henry cracks me up. I always forget that his hair was super straight the first year or 2 of his life.
